This panel of strategic investors, lenders, and restructuring specialists is back! Before COVID-19, a lot of industries were in distress, now a lot more are struggling. This panel will highlight people that operate in this industry and look at where the opportunities are. What do lenders look at? Don't look at? They will provide an updated overview of industries that are in distress, and share strategies and best practices for finding investment opportunities and capital solutions in these uncertain times.

About the Speakers:



David Campbell, Getzler Henrich & Associates LLC
David R. Campbell, managing director, has extensive corporate restructuring, capital markets, and leveraged finance experience, having completed restructurings and financing across multiple industries including healthcare services and providers, steel, metals, automotive and technology, media and telecom.

David is a financially -focused professional with expertise in creating and executing strategies that maximize stakeholder value throughout a company’s life-cycles, from pre-acquisition through investment exit. He has more than 20 years’ experience with in- and out-of-court restructurings and recapitalizations, M&A and divestiture initiatives. He will continue his work with private equity firms, banks, family offices and commercial lenders to bring transformational leadership, operational excellence and strategic advice to their investments. David’s functional expertise includes special-situation strategies, financial and due diligence, and capitalization initiatives.


Prior to joining Getzler Henrich, Mr. Campbell was a managing director in the private equity coverage group at Fifth Third Bank, where he focused on healthcare leverage finance. He was also a managing director with Almeric Capital Partners, a credit opportunity fund focusing on distressed first- and second- lien leveraged loans. Earlier, he served as a senior vice president with GE Capital’s Health Care Finance group and a principal at Potak, Campbell & Co., a boutique corporate restructuring firm providing advisory services to unsecured creditors. David graduated with an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and received a Masters’ Degree from the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University.



Travis Haynes, Balmoral Funds 
Travis Haynes joined the Balmoral team in 2012 to lead the business development function at the firm. He plays an active role in the origination, review, analysis and execution of transactions.

Prior to Balmoral, Travis served as a Vice President at Platinum Equity, a private equity firm headquartered in Beverly Hills, for 13 years. As a member of Platinum’s mergers and acquisitions team, Travis pursued new platform acquisitions in the US and Europe. He has extensive experience in review and analysis as well as governance of the investment approach and process. Travis serves on the board of Enesco LLC.



William Henrich (moderator), Getzler Henrich & Associates LLC
William H. Henrich is co-chairman of Getzler Henrich, a leading corporate restructuring firm focused on middle-market companies. The restructuring industry publication “Turnarounds and Workouts” has named Getzler Henrich one of the top firms for many consecutive years. Bill has more than thirty-five years of experience, with over 400 engagements.

He was named to the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Hall of Fame in 2018, an honor recognizing those practitioners who have increased the stature, and respect of the industry. Mr. Henrich is a former president and current advisory board member of the TMA’s New York chapter, current TMA Global board member and VP – Education, Board member of the ABI, member of the Association of Corporate Growth and a regular speaker and author. He served as Co-Chairman of the ABI’s Bankruptcy Reform Commission Governance Committee. A certified public accountant, he holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Baruch College, City University of New York.



Teresa Kohl, SSG Capital Advisors LLC
Teresa C. Kohl is a Managing Director for SSG Capital Advisors and is responsible for originating and leading investment banking transactions. She has completed over 100 restructuring matters including refinancing and sale transactions for middle market companies in bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court workouts. Prior to her transition to investment banking, she led financial and operational restructuring engagements for boutique advisory firms.

She serves on the Board of Directors of the American Bankruptcy Institute. Teresa has served on the board and in leadership positions of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA Global) where she was the first woman to lead TMA’s largest global chapter (New York City) as President and co-founded TMA Global’s Network of Women. She also serves as Board Chair of Living Beyond Breast Cancer, a national non-profit organization. She is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, INSOL International and the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation.

Teresa has received awards including the TMA Global’s Outstanding Individual Contribution Award (2017) and the M&A Advisor’s Distressed M&A Dealmaker of the Year Award (2019). In addition, she was named a U.S.A. Top Women Dealmaker by the Global M&A Network (2019).



Michael R. Nestor, Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor LLP
Mike is Vice-Chairman of the Firm, a member of the Firm’s Management Committee, co-head of the Firm’s Portfolio Company Management Group, and head of the Firm’s New York Office. As either lead or co-counsel, Mike has successfully guided more than 80 distressed companies through out-of-court or chapter 11 proceedings. With more than two decades of restructuring leading company-side representations, Mike has kept his finger on the pulse of the restructuring practice. Mike regularly conducts “road show” presentations for interested law firms, private equity funds, and financial advisory firms that feature in-depth analyses regarding emerging issues in the restructuring and corporate governance expertise, with a primary focus on companies in distress.

Mike has developed a niche advising private equity funds and portfolio companies regarding the management, acquisitions/divestitures and governance, and has represented portfolio companies and PE fund/parent companies in more than 30 transactions/cases. He is co-chair of the Firm's Portfolio Company Specialty Group.
